Ground Films had the honour of capturing the breathtaking wedding of Jade and Tom on a radiant August day at The Ravenswood Hotel, Sussex. This enchanting venue, nestled in the heart of the Sussex countryside, served as the perfect backdrop for their love story, with its sprawling grounds, picturesque lake, and the charming little castle where they held their outdoor ceremony.
From the moment we arrived at The Ravenswood, Sussex videographers Ground Films knew this was going to be a special day. Jade and Tom’s love was evident in every detail, and we were thrilled to be chosen to document their journey, surrounded by the beautiful landscape of Sussex.
The Love Story of Jade & Tom
Jade and Tom’s love story began in high school in 2006, a romance that blossomed into a lifelong partnership. On Christmas Day 2018, Tom proposed to Jade at home, with their four children by their side, making the moment even more special. When it came time to choose their wedding venue, Jade discovered The Ravenswood Hotel on Facebook and knew instantly that it was the one. After visiting the Sussex venue with Tom, they both agreed and booked it straight away.
“We chose Ground Films to capture our wedding because I had watched their work on other people’s weddings and knew immediately they were the ones for us,” Jade shared. The Ceremony at The Little Castle
The ceremony took place in the magical outdoor setting of the little castle, a true highlight of The Ravenswood Hotel. Jade looked stunning as she made her entrance, escorted down the aisle by her sister Leanne. Her dress was a vision—an A-line gown with an intricately embellished corset top that shimmered in the sunlight. Her glossy brunette hair was elegantly tied in a ponytail, a look created by the talented hairstylist Beckah (@BridalbyBeckah-Hair,Makeup&Tanning). As Jade walked, her bridesmaids, overcome with emotion, shed happy tears.
While the joy was palpable, there was also a tender remembrance of Jade and Leanne’s grandad, who was deeply missed during this special moment. His presence was felt in spirit, adding a sentimental note to the day.
Jade and Tom’s four beautiful children—Alfie, Eden, Paris, and Harper—played integral roles in the ceremony. The twin girls, Eden and Paris, looked angelic in their matching flower girl dresses, while Alfie and Harper were dashing in their mini versions of Tom’s attire, wearing green tweed three-piece suits with paisley ties and white rose buttonholes, just like their dad. Watching their family walk down the aisle together was a truly heartwarming sight.
